    Guys-

Love the idea of giving one CD to a friend!

God used this same concept in my life when a friend gave me his 2nd cassette (it was the 80s mind you) shortly after he’d introduced me to contemporary Christian music. It was a few years later that I became a Christ follower, and I have every confidence that God used many of those songs- including that cassette. May He use your gracious giving to reach others for Christ as well!

    Brothers in God,
I am new to the christian music scene and only within the last 8 months have I begun to listen to Klove on the radio. I traveled to Monoe Michigan to (believe it or not) to see Big Daddy Weave but my heart & eyes swelled with tears as I saw Newsong sing from the heart. I was instantly taken back to the roots of my belief. I purchased the CD, listened to it on the 4 hour back drive home. I talked to God alot on that drive. I played the song “Give Yourself Away” over and over. It took a few days to know what God was saying through your music. I have dedicated myself to giving all I have to the mission of the Red Cross. I now go out to the victims of Home fires to give comfort and shelter. I am getting ready to become a foster parent. I am blessed to be able to do these things and I thank you for starting me on the path to giving myself away. Be safe on your travels. Please continue with Holt Internation.. because every Child deserves a home.

I gave the bonus CD to one of my high school teachers. She has been going through some hard times this year. She missed 2 months of the school at the begining of the year because her husband had an accident at his job, where he fell in so very hot water and got first, second, and third degree burns all over his body. So all year i have been giving her bible verses after bible verses to help her get through everything, so i thought that giving her your CD will make here fell better.
Thanks for reading this. You guys are great. Keep making people happy.

I got my CD at winter jam and before I got it I knew who I needed to share it with. Been wanting to get CD at Christmas but didn’t get a chance. I have a co-worker that we have gotten to know each other she is really cool but going through a lot. I couldn’t wait to see her Friday the night after getting it. Today when I got to work she let me know how much she loved it. It really opened the door with her. Her mom really thinks I am saving her but I said it’s the Lord. The Lord brings people in your life at times you don’t know why. But she is such a uplift to me. Now she can’t wait to go next year. I wish she wasn’t getting back from her trip so she could have gone Thursday with us.She wants to start to go to church with us and her son.I work for Hospice. I know the Lord has me doing this job for a reason I get to meet so many people and what a great way to show God’s love with who I meet.Thank you guys so much for coming out with this CD. It is so uplifting in many ways. Can’t wait till next year till then keep sharing God’s love it is the best thing ever he changed my life in so many ways.By the way I took my kids and to watch them worship the Lord best feeling to see that. Thank you. God bless

I attended 2010 WinterJam in Greensboro, NC. After I received the Give Yourself Away CD, I did as asked and prayed for guidance as to who the CD belonged to. I kept coming back to the same name, Jacob. This young man is my manager’s son and she had mentioned that he was really into church. And ya know, just hate it when I try to guess around God…but I did and thought, “If this young man is in church, are you sure…” Well, this guy never left my mind and I have not even met him. Yesterday I took the CD, and gave it to her, asked her to please give it to her son.
I explained where the CD came from, the purpose of the CD, and went on to share the lyrics that I had just listened to about surviving without hope. She looked at me kind of funny…and this is the young man’s story…He is going through a very rough time right now…a strained relationship with his father, dropped out of college after Christmas, and involved with a church that does not have strong biblical ties..(almost cultish). I was once again humbled and ashamed that I had questioned God. So as you said at WinterJam..Stay tuned for the rest of the story…….

Last night, I was at the Winter Jam concert in Augusta, Ga., when I heard about your deal with the c.d. give away. I had two dollars in my pocket, and I knew this was something that me and my friends had to do. I gave a dollar to one friend who didn’t have money and I kept a dollar so we could get the c.d.s. Before I even got to the table I already had a peace about who should get the second c.d.- my parents. I was blessed to grow up in a household where my parents put God first in their marriage and we put him first as a family. However, the road has not been easy for us. My mom has faced death many times in her life. When she was sixteen, she walked away from a car accident that claimed her mothers life. When she gave birth to me, she suffered complications that left her in the hospital for a week. She now lives with constant pain from spinal arthritis and nerve damage. She is on multiple medicines because of diabetes and COPD. For the last few weeks, my family had been waiting for the news of my mothers breast biopsy and we got the news the day before the concert that it was negative for cancer. My father has always worked hard to take care of his family. He is an Desert Storm and Iraq Veteran who lives with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. I have faced my own battles as well. Needless to say, God has worked in our lives. Our family motto is, He has brought us through so much that he is not gonna leave us here. But even knowing all of that, it gets hard for the three of us. We try to bear each others problems, be each others cheerleaders. But it gets hard when sometimes when it is just the three of us cheering. That is why I knew to get the cd for my parents. I knew that maybe after they’ve had a long day, that your music could be part of their cheerleading section.
    Thanks and God Bless,

    Hi Guys,

Went to Winter Jam in Fayetteville, NC and Greensboro, NC. Because I live in Fayetteville and Greensboro is 2 hours through State roads which are kinda rural in places, a friend of mine who normally goes to concerts with me, stayed at my home with my mom who is 88 years old so that I could spend the night in Greensboro after that show. I bought the CD which is phenomenal BTW.I thought about who to give it to. I was thinking of who I could bring to Christian Music with the CD.I wanted it to be special. The next day or so, I was led to give the CD to my friend who stayed with my mom. The reason she didn’t go was because I bought the VIP Partnership Pass to both shows and she couldn’t afford to go VIP to either so didn’t go to either show. I also bought an extra copy of the Newsboys EP without knowing who I was going to give that to either. I gave both to my friend. She was very happy to receive them and I feel like I brought a little of Winter Jam to her! God Bless you and the tour!

I just wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for your obedience!!! In August 2005 my Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer and on January 2, 2006 he went to his new home called Heaven! Then 4 months to the day my Dad passed away – my brother – (my only sibling) (30 yrs. old) went to Heaven also!! So I had been held hostage by death and grief for the last 4 years of my life due to all of the loss! I Couldn’t serve my family or my church or my Jesus because of the grip it had on my life!! That is until on the morning of December 28, 2009 in Branson, MO. as I was standing there at Extreme Winter and was listening to you all sing “Arise My Love” is when God literally reached down into my very being and took my grief!!! I felt Him take it!!! I heard Him literally say to me — NO GRAVE can keep them, NO MORE death’s sting!! You will see them again and your circle will never be broken again!!!! It was so amazing!!!! I am a new woman and I can’t thank Him enough for the change and touch He has placed on my life!!! Everywhere I go I want to shout about what He did in my life that very day!!! He truly is Amazing and Awesome!!!! So just to let you know He is using you all to minister!! Hearts and lives are being changed through your obedience!! So for that I say a BIG THANK YOU to JESUS and YOU!!!! Keep it up!!!!

Got the cd yesterday as a gift from my wife, read the challenge for giving away the bonus CD. Had a co-worker today having a difficult time, his brother was being sentenced to 40 years in prison today. Felt God speak that he was the one to give the disc too. Song number 7 GOD HEARS is for him. Thanks for sharing this free disc to give away the love and hope to one that was hurting.

I am a 7th grade special education teacher. A few teachers and a I started an after school christian club for students. Last year we had 15 and we average 30 each week. We had some busses donated by a local church to take them to WinterJam in Cincinnati. Most of them had never been to a concert before. I was going to use the CD to give away to our group in a drawing. I was talking to one of my students who said she had been cutting herself. She asked what the CD was and I told her. She took home my copy to listen to it and said she liked it. So I got out my extra copy and gave it to her. She was excited and now I have an outlet to talk to her.

    Hey newsong,
I attended Winter Jam 2010 at the Mitchell Center in Mobile, AL with my brother and cousin. We enjoyed going the music was great. We only had a dollar left when you announced about the C.D but when we got it and listened to it we thoroughly enjoyed it. So did my cousin who we gave the gift C.D too. She was so happy to get that C.D, she listens to it all the time. Thanks so much.. God Bless.

  15. Hey Newsong we attended our first Winter Jam concert this year at the James Brown Arena in Augusta Ga. Believe me we have defintly had an awesome experience to remember and most definatly want to attend next years. The cd give away was truly a gift indeed 5 dollars left to our name got us one and the following night it snowed about 5 inches of course shutting the whole country down because the south is not ready for snow at any time. Coming home in our 4×4 Suburban we saw this lady stuck on a hill in a little 350z Nissan and pulled along side her and offered her some help. Well after about 30 minutes we managed to get her up the hill Chris drove her and the car home with me following in our vehicle. After talking with her for a few minutes we decided to give her the extra copy of your CD even though she told us that she didnt like gospel music but that if we gave it to her that she would defintly listen to it. Well she played it at work and LOVED it came to out house and left us her card on our door (she works for Aiken County Board of Education) and when we called her she offered to take us out for dinner for our generousity and thoughtfulness and is thinking of attending church with us on Sunday so heres our share your story hope it brought a smile to your faces…God Bless you!

I went to the WinterJam tour that was in Charlottesville, VA this past weekend. It was just wonderful. As you guys started talking about your new cd, I knew I had to get it. Then we you said that there was a second cd to give to someone else I immediately knew who to give it to. She is a teacher that I used to work with. She is such a wonderful person. I have wanted to bless her with something for a while.Ii listened to the cd (which is wonderful!!!) I prayed Saturday night for her and confirmation this was infact the person I was to give the cd to. Sunday morning I had another teacher’s name in my mind to give the cd to. This other teacher found out that due to budget cuts he will not have a job next year. He has had a tough school year. I asked God which one I was to give the cd to and He said both. So, today after work I slipped the cds into their mailboxes with a note. It felt so good to bless those two. Thank you guys so much. This is such a wonderful idea.

Actually, when I ‘bought’ this CD set in my mind I had it to send to my brother. He could use a good message in his music. But somehow it ended up in my husbands car… I’ve been asking lots of close friends to pray for him(husband) because he uses alcohol and tobacco regularly and hasn’t been going to church with me in quite a while. After much coercion and frustration I’ve all but given up. There’s nothing I myself can do. It’s between him and God. So, my brother can still use some music with a good message (and I WILL get that to him) but for now, I’m glad that it’s taken up residence in my husbands car…our Lord works in mysterious ways :o ) ♥
